Navigating a Terminal Illness

A terminal diagnosis can change multiple facets of life extremely quickly. It begins a complex journey that impacts not only the individual but also their family unit and inner circles, which can often create large shifts at every stage from diagnosis through end-of-life planning.

The terminal diagnosis landscape can be dominated by a mix of emotions. Some of the harder emotions to sit with can be fear, deep sadness, despair, and overwhelming uncertainty. Families may face significant strain as roles shift and daily life adjustments become necessary. Navigating complex treatments while processing grief - both for the person diagnosed and their loved ones - can sometimes feel like an insurmountable weight on relationships. And yet, more positive emotions and experiences sometimes also have an opportunity to express themselves in these moments, such as gratitude, love, forgiveness, connection, and acceptance.

We recognize the challenges, heartbreaks, and emotional rollercoasters that exist through this type of process, and we are here for you through it. We provide support for individuals facing a terminal illness, as well as support for loved ones who support them (e.g., partners, children, parents, or siblings).
